Prior to painting, there is always some degree of prep work or repairs that are necessary to accomplish a beautiful, long-lasting paint job. Before we start painting, exteriors are power-washed. All wood is inspected, and if needed, it is sanded, filled, or replaced. Stucco is patched as necessary, and all repairs are primed. On interior jobs, holes are filled, drywall patches are completed, and primer is applied where necessary. Surfaces are cleaned prior to painting. For both interior and exteriors, all joints and gaps are caulked for a seamless finish. All non-painted surfaces are masked and covered to insure they stay that way!
We specialize in high-quality interior painting. We will paint one room or the interior home. No job is too big or small, we do it all!
Although we do not hang wallpaper, we do remove it. If you're looking to update your house into a beautifully painted home, give us a call today!

Owner/ Project Manager
Ryan has been painting homes in Southern California for the past 12 years. He started out working for his father, David. After years of painting for his father, he earned his own contractor's license. Since then, he has earned a degree in construction management. With all of Ryan's experience, paired with his motivation to deliver the highest quality work, he knows how to keep our customers happy.
Had a great experience with Ryan from Paint it up. I received three bids for my paint job- painting about 1/3 of the exterior stucco portion of my home. They ranged from affordable to ludicrous. Ryan came in just right. One guy wanted to charge me four times what Ryan charged me, what a nut job.
Ryan was punctual for his appointment and was thorough in explaining what he was going to do. I set the painting for a few days later. He was clean throughout the job, made sure to cover all the plants and grass up next to the house. Ryan did a great job patching small cracks and matched the paint perfectly to what I already have on the house. You really can't tell that he was there, which is a good thing!
I would definitely hire Ryan again!
Ryan and his crew do excellent work. Very high quality and a great attention to detail with very fair prices. I would recommend them to any friend or family member without hesitation.
They just finished a full exterior job as well as two interior rooms. The exterior was a 17 year old, original paint on stucco with wood trim. The eaves and the trim were really dry and needed a lot of attention. We switched the color scheme and added an accent color, so they were painting white over previously colored trim and a light grey on the stucco. Benjamin took the extra time and did an excellent job on the exterior prep work -- stucco patch, caulking, priming the wood trim, removing old nails & hooks, etc. He did a very good job cutting in the accent color and spent the extra time to put on a 3rd coat in a lot of places (where it was extra dry) and you can definitely see the difference. Even up close, inspecting the stucco there are absolutely no voids anywhere on the house. Can't say enough positive things about the exterior (and the neighbors love it too!).
Interior was an equally great job as well. They made quick work of a kitchen/living room combo, cut in the crown molding very nicely, and did a great job around the interior shutters. They were very understanding of our remodel schedule and worked on a Sunday to get the paint finished and ready for the cabinets to install Monday morning.
Overall my wife and I are extremely pleased with the results.
We found Ryan to be easy to communicate with, and flexible when we requested changes. He was very helpful in obtaining samples which he painted on walls where the paint was to go. It's amazing how different a color can look depending on what it is next to, and the lights and shadows at various times of day. Ryan's crew, Benjamin and Diego, were conscientious, courteous, and professional. They did great work, listened to our concerns, and cleaned up well afterwards.
This job included the full exterior of the house, stucco and wood trim. As the job went on, we made several minor changes which Ryan accommodated. We asked that parts of the decorative trim be painted to match the stucco rather than the door frames, we asked that the brick border around our flower beds in front also be painted, and that they paint our security screen door as well, which had not been part of the original plan. Only the last item incurred an extra charge, and it was well worth it for the beautiful job they did.
Because of the extensive prep work, the hot weather, and the changes we requested, the job took 7 days from start to finish, including the Sunday they took off. We would not hesitate to recommend Paint It Up or to use them again for future painting work.
